Who are your investors?

In October 2012 we were acquired by The Courtney Group, a private equity company that works with a variety of industries including financial services, energy, healthcare technology and manufacturing, and Pegasus Capital, a private equity fund manager based in Los Angeles.

What kind of products do you make?

A

Santier has the unique capability of manufacturing both specialized metals and high-reliability multilayer ceramics from 'powder to packages.'

What materials do you work with?

A

We work from powder of Copper Tungsten, Copper Molybdenum, Silver Kovar, Silver Invar and Co-Fired Ceramic Packages. We integrate third-party materials as applicable: Aluminum Graphite, Stainless Steel, Copper, Cu/CuMo/Cu, Cu/Mo/Cu and Kovar.

What qualification testings do Santier perform?

Most of Santier's products are tested to MIL STD 883.

What certifications does Santier have?

A

Santier is ISO 9001 certified and ITAR approved. In addition, our longstanding partnerships with leading defense and aviation clients are an unofficial recognition of our qualifications.

Must I submit a prototype?

A

Many product types that are within Santier’s manufacturing capabilities may not need to have prototypes built. However, if the product is pushing the limits of our processes then prototypes are a lower cost way to confirm feasibility.

Is there a minimum order size?

A

Yes, depending on the product type. Please contact one of our Sales Directors to discuss your needs or to learn more about our process and manufacturing capabilities.

Do you have a quality assurance program in place?

A

During all phases of manufacturing Santier emphasizes quality control. This starts with operator awareness. There are key inspection steps at check points throughout the manufacturing process as well as quality gates performed by quality-assurance (QA) personnel. Santier's QA department not only verifies incoming material through final product first-article and on-going final inspection but is also capable of performing many in-house tests to MIL-spec standards.

To what temperature do you fire?

A

We fire to a range of temperatures that are uniquely suited for the material we're working with. Key powder firing steps are over 1000°C, for metal and ceramics. Baking and brazing temperatures are up to 1000°C.

How big is your plant and how many hours per day is it operational?

A

Our 60,000-square-foot plant is capable of running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This round-the-clock capability allows us to offer short lead times and comprehensive 'powder to package' manufacturing services.

What computer software do you use?

A

Santier uses Solidworks 3-d and CAD systems as an engineering tool.

What is your average engineer tenure?

A

Our average engineer tenure is 10 years. Moreover, Santier’s professionals have over 150 cumulative years of engineering experience. Overall, we have over 300 man-years of degreed engineering experience.
